We live in a giant social abyss, where more than 29 thousand people die of hunger or malnutrition daily. To make things worse, 1.3 billion tons of food goes to waste every year, which represents about 30% of global food production. This scenario is disturbing, so we decided to roll up our sleeves and start a transformation in the world that we live.
GoodTruck was born in 2016, in Curitiba-PR, with the goal to take food from where it is leftover to where there is lack of food. Through many projects in partnership with restaurants, supermarkets and even the industry, promoting volunteering actions, we recovered food that was going to be wasted and made the destination of meals to the street population and vulnerable peripheral communities, in 4 Brazilian cities.
